So. This #wedsnesdayworkout is a little late because I was working so hard on it. And I am going to feel it tomorrow. My favorite kind of workout is a workout that works alongside music.
Movement to music and the beat helps me make sure that the timing of my exercises consistent. I tend to try and rush through my workout, and short change my workout because of it. Music helps me get more from my workout. And it’s actually been proven to make your workout more effective.
It also makes it makes it feel like less of a workout! I try to pick songs that are motivational as well. To a certain degree at least. Or at least have a super awesome beat.
Here’s my mom advice for you. Three things to remember while working out: stay hydrated, if something hurts you, STOP AND MODIFY, take some ZMA vitamins before you go to bed so you don’t hurt so bad the next day. So, my three songs for this week’s workout are:
Breathin’ – Ariana Grande
High Hopes – Panic! At the Disco
Beautiful – Christina Aguilera
Start Breathin with Stretches – 8 second hold (you’ll hear the shift in music when you are switching)
Stand with feet shoulder width apart
Shoulder stretch - one arm across body, opposite arm closing up on it
Switch
Arms up straight, fingers interlocked
Forward bend and touch the floor, hands between your feet
Toe touch to one side, nose to knee or as close as you are able
Switch
15 situps
20 side crunches (10 on each side)
10 reverse crunches
15 toe crunches
Finish song with a v-sit
High Hopes
20 second plank
10 second T-Plank (side plank)
10 seconds other side
10 pushups
10 mountain climbers
20 side mountain climbers
10 lunges
20 side lunges
20 jumping jacks
Beautiful – Cooldown
Repeat the Warm up stretches
Downward dog for ten seconds
Sit down
Toe touch stretch – nose to knees
Hug knees to chest
Lay flat with palms on the floor
This is meant to be a shorter workout. Less than 15 minutes. I try to get a cardio in at least 3 times a week. Sometimes it’s less, sometimes more. Don’t beat yourself up over it. <3 There’s no excuse not to do it when it only takes up fifteen minutes of your day!
If you need a little more of a workout though, you are more than welcome to do it twice! Thanks for bearing with my non-technical terms and explanations. I’m momming it over here. Happy workout everyone!
